Curriculum
The Montessori curriculum is highly individualized. Most lessons are given one-on-one, taking into account each child's current level of development, and learning style.
Lessons are given in each of the following five areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, and Science and Culture.
Small group lessons are also given when appropriate.
The child's Kindergarten or third year is a culmination of the lessons introduced during the first two years in the classroom. Upon completion of the Primary program, children will leave having become proficient readers and writers, with an extraordinary ability to problem solve, and think critically.

A Typical Day...
The Montessori classroom prides itself on providing a highly structured and consistent environment. Upon entering the classroom, each child is greeted with a smile, a handshake and "good morning".
The class will have a small meeting, or circle time, immediately followed by morning work cycle.
At mid day the children spend time outside playing, running, and tending to the school's garden and fruit trees.
The afternoon session consists of the children's favorite social time, lunch, followed by nap or a second work cycle.
A kindergartner's day consists of two work cycles.
